A Ride to Starbucks

Big milestone today.  We let Cole ride his trike to Starbucks.  While he hasn’t been riding for very long he’s become very adept very quickly and today he had energy that we had to figure out a way to burn.  So he rode.  He rode the entire way there and back.  We were pretty confident he would never last one direction, let alone both, but he didn’t even break a sweat….that’s good.  But what do we do tomorrow to burn energy?

Let’s talk about Love

Cole wouldn’t get ready for his bath tonight and was doing just about anything to avoid it.  He turned on music, an especially upbeat “Let’s Talk about Love” song and avoided anything and everything dad was telling him.  Finally as I was getting more and more exasperated he turned to me and said in a most earnest voice…”let’s talk about love”.

Cole’s Painting Day

Today was finger painting day….and more.  So finger paints went really well for the first 3 minutes until Mom had to go upstairs and get Alex up from a nap.  While mom vacated to the upstairs Cole got the bright idea that it would be especially pleasing to clap his hands together and see what would happen.

Amazingly paint on the hands does some amazing things not only to the paper in front of him but to all sorts of things around him, including his person, tray, walls, windows, and floor.  Apparently mom had other ideas of spattered paint, so finger painting quickly ended.

The cutest thing

Alex and Cole are so cute.  Whenever we drive somewhere now, they like to hold hands everywhere they go.  Alex just loves his brother and vice-versa.
